What Can Content Creators Learn from the Unabomber?
Wisdom can be found in unlikely places

Family, ✨
I know what you’re thinking: “Emmeleigh has really gone off of the deep end with this one!”
But if you don’t want to take writing advice from a Harvard-educated genius who has a byline in The Washington Post…
…maybe you’re the crazy one. 🤪
If you have an open mind 🧠 and a heart that’s capable of forgiveness, let’s go on a journey together. What can the content creators of today learn from one of the most famous writers of the 20th century, our old pal Ted K., also known as the Unabomber?

1. Start Off with a Bang. 💥
Like other successful content creators (MrBeast, Martin Luther King, Jr.), Ted knew that you have to really make a splash by doing something big. 🤯 While I don’t recommend a mail-bomb campaign (unethical!), maybe you can send fun, friendly anonymous letters in glittery envelopes to local government officials. ✨ Or you could build a shrine to the Ugaritic god Baal, then announce that you’ll sacrifice a goat LIVE on Facebook.🎥 (If you can’t afford a real goat, just cut up a stuffed toy!)
The point is, the possibilities are endless. As Ted shows us: The one thing you need is attention, so get it however you can. 👀👀
2. Try alternative lifestyles. 🍃
Can’t figure out what to write about because your life is so boring and normal? 🥱 Try living an alternative lifestyle to generate content! Ted lived in a cabin and roved the woods, stewing in his own resentful juices. 🏠Maybe try doing that. But if that’s not to your taste, you can try van life, minimalist living, or traveling to dangerous locations. 🚐 Personally, I have decided to start seeing what happens if I don’t let my son eat anything but red meat. 🥩 He’s looking a little yellow and complaining of headaches now, but the PDFs I’ve been downloading tell me that he should feel a burst of energy soon. No matter what happens, it’ll generate great content! 😁 (And if CPS takes him away, I can blog about how traumatic that experience was. Talk about a win/win!)
3. Ask for what you want. 💬
Don’t be afraid to speak your truth, and don’t be afraid to ask for big things! 😲 Ted used his leverage to get published in The Washington Post, one of the nation’s best newspapers. 🗞️ Just like Ted, you should aim high. Don’t submit another op-ed to your local newspaper. Submit it to the New York Times or The Atlantic! Don’t be afraid to send your manuscript to the best publisher or the most prestigious agent. After all, if you never ask for it, you’ll never get it. Ted knew that, and it’s one reason we still remember his name to this day. Even if he wasn’t able to secure the downfall of modern civilization, he did become famous—and surely he felt that that was a good consolation prize. I know I would!
Well, those are the three things I think about the Unabomber. Have anything to add? Write a comment below!
Love,
Em 😘

...need one of these on zodiac...
We could learn a lot from Ted, I remember Grandma reading Industrial Society and its Future to me as a child. Just don’t do silly things involving the post office, that was his big oopsie.
